Day 2 In Chennai, Breakfast & Activities

Time flies and it’s Friday already 😂. Well I am so glad I did it. Came all the way just for not just the foods but to open my eyes, mind and heart to seizing the moments and for me to enjoy the not so warm ☀️ 😂.

Just look at the Dosas, I had a good meal. As I am in the Upar T Nagar Hotel. I have planned to first get some Pani Puri before I watch the Mortal Kombat movie at Cinema Cafe located at Anna Nagar.

After the movie, I shall come back to enjoy dinner at T Nagar Bhai kadai again. This time I shall get some rice and chapati so I can get myself to Elliot Beach for a stroll.

Elliot Beach is more quiet and laid back which will be a good time to reflect and let my mind be at ease 😊

Mumbai to Chennai in 2 Hours: My Quick Flight Hop

Flying from Mumbai to Chennai is fast and easy — just under 2 hours in the air. My Airbus took off around 2:20 PM and landed by 3:45 PM.

I grabbed a window seat, leaned back, and spent most of the flight relaxing to nature sounds between short naps. Perfect for a quick city hop.

Ok I cannot help it because I had a great time eating and same time sweating after the spicy curry chicken with 3 yummy chapatis 😋. Review is below with the gallery of T Nagar Bhai kadai.

Pav Bhaji to MK,You Live To Eat. Just Eat Me.

Bhel Puri was just the appetizer. It was 10 pm on a Wednesday night, and I was again hungry so I got myself the Pav Bhaji. It’s another dish which I had not tried.

I was very full after having Pav Bhaji so I took a stroll to the other end where I could hear the honking of Bandra west. Thankfully I wore my ear buds as I’m sensitive to loud sounds.

Four more days for me to unwind in Chennai. I was just as glad as the heat in Mumbai was twice the heat compared to Singapore and Malaysia.

Mutton Biryani at Lucky Restaurant + Bhelpuri in Juhu Beach

I only had two days so I took the opportunity to get myself to Lucky Restaurant for Mutton biryani 😋.

I was delighted to meet Mr. Mohsen, the founder himself, as I shook his hand. I told him that I blog about food and travel experiences.

The biryani was nice and filling. Lunch time gets pretty chaotic and busy, so expect a wait if you go around 1 PM.

The mutton was tender, and the right masala was aromatic with just the right amount of spices and onions for me – exactly as the server mentioned.

20 minutes to walk up to the beach stand where the people are queuing up for the snacks and food.

The best part was having Bhel Puri was that I hadn’t tried it. While munching I felt the fullness and the amount of crunchy was just too good.

I was just quite full and I thought about heading back as I had no clue what to try next. I booked the auto rickshaw from Uber which was windy and nice ride.

One Vada Pav Calling MK Eat Me Please

How exciting and fun can it get when I have not ever had Vadapav 😂. I know it sounds 🤣 yet weird right? Well I finally made it to Mumbai to experience and we eat as much 😄.

The most anticipated Vada Pav became one of MK’s favorite. As it’s something not served in Malaysia.

So finally my driver UJ came to fetch me to the Hotel Metro Palace Bandra

00:00 Day: My 0-Hour Tattoo Meal

It was a lazy sleep on a Sunday. I was wiped after the tour the day before, but I had 2 tattoos planned for my right upper arm. The 0-hour tattoo represents rebirth and transformation.

Aside from being a ♏, it actually reminds me of a reset – welcoming positive vibes and thoughts into myself.

Speaking and thinking about good things, the foods to eat, as well as nature walks to help me ground myself.

That’s why I needed that nasi Padang at 3PM. Fuel for the needle, fuel. Tip: If you’re getting inked in Jogja, eat 2 hours before. I went with nasi Padang – RM12 for rendang, rice, and iced tea. Carbs helped me sit through 4 hours.

The time I spent in Jogja was great. After getting both tattoos, I felt happy. It wasn’t just because of the ink.

The timing worked out perfectly too.I had enough time to plan for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy at CGV Mall Jogja on 18 April, right after my tour 😂 The cinema was packed and pretty warm, but thankfully the staff were helpful with ticket booking.

I also had time to visit Malioboro and try sate kambing. They call it satay back in SG and JB. I even booked an incall massage with Sembada because my back and calves were aching from the Borobudur Temple crawl 😂.

To end the night, I took an andong horse carriage ride back to my hotel. When I was heading to Maliboro, I got a ride to from an uncle for just 2,000 IDR – about 20 cents SGD 😂

The streets were buzzing. Batik shops, bakpia stalls, and those iconic horse carriages everywhere. Riding through Malioboro at night, with the lights and crowds, felt like the perfect way to wrap up my 00:00 Day in Jogja.

Cost:650,000 IDR per person. Included: 8am hotel pickup, Borobudur sunrise ticket, Prambanan ticket, sarong, English guide.

Review: 5/5. Small group. Guide explained Buddhist + Hindu history clearly. No hard sell. On time. Worth the early wake-up. Book them here: [Journeast Indo](https://maps.app.goo.gl/B56q65zGsLdoserv5)

The 00:00 Code Started Here

Jogja wasn’t just temples. I got two tattoos. One was 00:00 — my Scorpio rebirth code.

Compass. Anchor. Ship. 00:00.

Clear mind. Zero baggage. Positive direction. Every trip since — Mumbai, KL — runs on this code. [Read The 00:00 Code →](/0000)

Jogja Quick Tips

Stay:Malioboro area. 200k IDR/night gets you clean AC rooms.

Eat: Nasi Padang, Satay kambing.
